Are You an Instructor or Want to Become an Instructor?
An AHA Authorized Training Center is an organization, such as a hospital, community college, or business, that has a formal agreement with the American Heart Association (AHA) to provide high-quality emergency cardiovascular care (ECC) training. As a training center, we oversee our own instructors as well as supervise training sites, ensuring that all courses meet AHA standards. We are also responsible for issuing official AHA certification cards to instructors to issue to their students who complete training.
In order to teach AHA courses, you must complete training, then be on-boarded as part of the Training Center (TC). You can either aply to be part of our training center as part of a training site (smaller organizations of instructors delivering courses under the TC's guidance), or as an individual. Training Center faculty is responsible for Instructor Management, which includes the training and updating of all instructors affiliated with the TC. We are then responsible for course monitoring, to ensure that the quality of the training is maintained, and making sure it adheres to the AHA's curriculum and standards. Lastly, we are responsible for the issuance of course completion cards to instructors to provide to students.
